Hello. My name is Jon, I am a 40 year old professional guitarist currently teaching in Essex and Hertfordshire as well as offering online lessons.
I have been playing guitar for over 25 years and have been teaching since I was 21. As well as teaching guitar I have also recorded albums and performed all over Europe in various bands.
I offer competitively priced personally tailored lessons to suit your needs. Including Acoustic, Electric and bass guitar for complete beginners to advanced players.
Many of my students take graded exams with Rockschool or the London College of Music and 99% have received a distinction grade.
If a student does not wish to take graded exams I can help them learn their favourite songs as well as teaching key techniques to progress in their preferred genres and styles.
This can also be combined with learning to read music.
I have a DBS certificate and have lots of experience teaching children as well as adults.

Music production is the process of recording sounds and arranging them so the listener hears what the artist intended.
This can involve producing tracks using plugins such as reverb, delay, EQ and compression or creating songs from scratch with MIDI and sound design.
I teach everything from the basics of recording and software, through to balancing, mixing and mastering songs to a strong commercial level.
My current band The Lunar Effect has received critical acclaim and the single "Woman" has more than a quarter of a million streams.
